"I began seeing Dr.Jen recently when I was attending college. Something radical happend to my health during my third term of school which can only be described as a 'flare' of intense nerve-related symptoms, and which caused my husband (an ex-medic) to rush me to the hospital. My mother has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, so I was very alarmed by this sudden turn of events; however, the emergency room doctor was reluctant to label my symptoms based on what she was seeing at the time. Rather than endure the recommended painful expensive tests which the doctor admitted could be inconclusive at this early stage of the disease, I decided to see a naturopathic doctor. Dr. Jen reommended acupuncture and treated me with subtle bodywork and a course of herbs and supplements which she adjusted each time she saw me according to all of the symptoms that I reported. I felt that Dr.Jen spent a great deal of time listening to my concerns, and her recommendations were based on a very holistic view of my health; that is to say, she treated me as a whole person and helped me with health issues that were not necessarily related to my main complaint. I am very happy to convey that I have not had a recurrance of the 'flare' since it happened the first time, and the fatigue that has plagued me for years has also been improving. I am now a licensed Massage Therapist in Oregon, a dream which I have held for many years and which is now a reality.
